TECHNICAL INFORMATION
Protection Against Corrosion 
SCI Cable Tray, Cable Ladder, Cable Duct, Wireway, Fitting, connection parts and cover all made of steel, can be delivery according to various conditions and requirements with different protection against corrosion, such as

MATERIAL :
  • Hot Roll or Cold Roll Mild Steel Sheet
Widely used in general fabrication purposes SPHC ( standard as JIS G3131, G 3141 ) , general pipe ( Schedule 20 or 40 ), constructions of steel structure ( SS400 ). An excellent in weldability and formability, the quality product is according to International Standard specify dimension and properties. Chemical composition and Mechanical Characteristic : Tensile included Tolerance.
  • Zinc Sheet or Pre-Galvanized Sheet
Parts made of this mill galvanized method can be used in almost dry atmospheric without influence of aggressive particles.
The cut edges of these sheets with a thickness of approx. upto 1.5mm is by experience sufficiently protected by the cathode protection against corrosion almost dry atmospheric. Bare material is suitable an indoor used. Standard ref. as JIS G3302-1998,the zinc thickness is average 80 - 500 g/ sq. m. according to the material specification.
  • Stainless Steel
An International Standard ( European EN10020) is 304 and 316. The qualification of material is due to excellent corrosion resistance, high strength, good weldability and easy to cold forming . An appropriate grade of type shall be according to application of each product, the selection can knowledge from specification and qualification of material.
  • Aluminium Alloy
Good resistant to most neutral or nearly fresh water. Various industry used such as Food, Organic Acid, Pulp & Paper, Oil, Gasoline, Waxes and etc. Suitable shall be according to specification and qualification in each industries.  For strength loading shall be Extrude Grade 6063. Sheets are not acceptable.
  • Fibreglass
Glass reinforced themset resins is chemical & corrosion resistance, hight strength to weight ratio , light weight & manageable,non conductive and non magnetic . It is suitable for high temperatures and fire retardant as ASTM A D625 and UL 94. The detail chemcial contain as resistant guide. An application is Chemical, Waster Water, Oil & Gas, Marine, Fertilizer and etc.
  • Hot Dip Galvanized + Aluminium
The newest material type of highly corrosion - resistance coated steel sheet with coating composition consisting of Zinc combination with Aluminium. It is suitable for indoor & outdoor used. Reduction in process and delivery time due. Substitute material for Stainless Steel and Alumnium product in sheet fabrication.  Avoid to weld & Punching.

SURFACE COATING :
  • Hot Dip Galvanized after fabrication
According to BS EN ISO1461 and ASTM A123, Parts are made of quality sheet steel and at the end of the fabrication process in their final shape for  delivery dipped mostly one by one into the liquid zinc bath, the surface including all cuts edged being coated with a homogeneous zinc layer. Parts Galvanized Sheet Steel under the same atmospheric influences, but  they are also much better protected against low chemical stress, marine air, urban air and other low atmospheric influences which active corrosion.
Under these environment influences parts and be used indoors in humid atmospheric and outdoors, the average annual loss values of zinc coats under various atmospheric stresses are known from acknowledged long-time tests and list below :
Rural air   7-15    g/m2 
Urban air   20-40  g/m2
Marine air   20-50  g/m3
Industrial air  40-80  g/m4
The empirical values for the anticipated life of zinc coating by Hot Dip Galvanized are giving below
(specific gravity = 7gram / cm3 zinc)
  • Painting
Parts are made of bright quality sheet steel and finish after fabrication by coating with powder paint or stove enamel.
The coating of painting is not generally resistant to all aggressive solid, liquid gaseous chemical attacks, the kind and intensity of the corrossion stress should be as certain in advance. Whether a coating with epoxy resin can be selected or other types of coating such as Polyester Resin Polyester or similar are better, should be discussed with us. For Hazadar area, the special coating require  as speicfication & quolification of Painting such as film thcikness or chemical composition.
  
  • Bolt, Nut, Washers, Spring Washers M6-M12, Thread Rod, etc.
For Cable tray supplied by Electro Galvanized as BS 1706 ( ASTM B633 ) or Hot Dip Galvanized as ASTM A153. And can be supplied by Stainless Steel 304 or 316 as requested. Miniunim HDG coating is M8 with minimum thickness of coating of 40 gm.

NEMA VE-1 : Load / span class designation
  • Loading
SCI Cable Tray, Channel Tray and Perforated Tray was designed  the allowable load is the load in the case where the deflectionin the longitudinal direction reaches 1/300 the interval between supporting pointer the deflection in lateral direction reaches 1/50 of width is less.

The corrugated tray and ladder tray was designed the working load in accordance with standard NEMA VE1 safety factor 1.5
  • Electrical Continuity of Connections
Electrical Continuity of Connections are verify by Resistance Test. The net resistance of the job shall be not more than 0.00033 ohm. (NEMA VE-1 clause 4.3)
